A Royal Ambassador (RA) is a boy in grades 1-6 committed to living out the RA Pledge. This Pledge is part of personal and chapter (group of RAs) accountability.

At First Baptist Church, our RAs are active year around, meeting every other week on Sunday evening.  In addition to Christian accountability and a focus on missions, we like to think of our RA group as Christian Boy Scouts.

The outdoors training is tested twice a year with camporees.  These usually take place the first weekend of November as a regional event and in April as a statewide event.  During these camporees, the RAs compete against other churches in individual and team events.  Examples of these events are:

- Fire Building

- Knot Tying

- Archery

- Air Rifle

- Land Navigation

- First Aid
